Richard May for state house Position 2, Dist.42
The results we want!
We need basic respect for people and the environment, without barriers to better working conditions, education, housing for all, health and childcare options. Plus rural broadband, better river management, roads, and economic recovery.
In workplace, small business, and 13 years in municipal government, I've overhauled what's broken and made good things work better. I will listen and together we'll take action for working families. Pro choice. Pro small business.

Currently mayor pro tem of Blaine, business owner, father of two. I have spent 20 years advocating for schools, libraries, working people, and a clean sustainable environment. I went to trade school and worked hard jobs for decades, eventually owning 2 businesses with 20 employees, so I understand what it's like to try and earn a living, and I understand small business. In government and policy, the first thing I do is check with the people that would be impacted by any new changes, and make sure if they have any better ideas on how it should work.

Early campaign note: There will be three seats up for the 42nd District's election in 2022: house 1, house 2, and senate. Richard is running for state house position 2, which will be a vacant "open" seat with no incumbent.

Our challenges differ from other districts, so this is a local focused, local controlled grassroots campaign, funded almost entirely by Whatcom people with nearly no money from out of state and zero money from DC. For info about our launch and upcoming events... SEE KICKOFF information here.
